Visitation from Abroad / Students from Emmaus Christian School in Canberra, Australia

On April 11, 2024, 29 students and 4 teachers from Emmaus Christian School in Canberra, Australia, visited Sendagaya Campus of Tsuda University as part of their school trip.
Ms. Alaine Cole, a Japanese teacher at Emmaus Christian School in Canberra, studied at Tsuda University as an exchange student from the Australian National University in 2005. She contacted the Alumni Association of Tsuda University, and this event was made possible.

After opening remarks by President Takahashi and a message from the President of Tsuda Alumni Association Iino, the alumni association members shared photos of Alaine's study abroad experience and her visit to Japan this January. The participants realized how wonderful the continuing network was.
Mask charms made of Mizuhiki from Iida City, with which Tsuda University has a partnership, were given at the event. Australian students gave us a plush toy of koala bear.
Then, Tsuda students who studied abroad and are going to study abroad in the near future had a discussion with Australian students. The participants commented on how enjoyable and productive the meeting was.
