Tsuda University ranked No. 1 among Japan's private women’s universities for the fifth consecutive year in the Times Higher Education Japan University Rankings 2022

Tsuda University was ranked No. 1 among Japan's private women’s universities for the fifth consecutive year in the Times Higher Education Japan University Rankings 2022, announced on March 24, 2022.

This ranking is based on four elements: Resources, Engagement, Outcomes, and Environment. Tsuda University won the first place as a private women’s university in the Outcomes ranking as well.

Tsuda University’s overall ranking among all Japanese universities was sixtieth, and it was fifteenth in the Engagement ranking. The Engagement ranking was calculated based on evaluations by current students and Tsuda's reputation among high school teachers, and this result indicates how well we have met our students' educational expectations.

2021 was a year in which it was difficult to have face-to-face interactions due to the Covid-19 pandemic; however, even under such challenging circumstances, it is encouraging that Tsuda University’s education was evaluated highly by its own students as we have been working hard to maintain the quality of our education regardless of changes such as the switch to online and hybrid class delivery.

We will continue to work hard on enhancing and strengthening our education.
