Are you interested in studying English? If so, why? English can be seen as a window into other cultures, and it is also a tool for communicating with people who have different cultural backgrounds. To be a good intercultural communicator, in addition to learning language, you must also learn about culture and communication. You can do all of this at Tsuda University!
I am very much interested in exploring the important factors contributing to intercultural communication competency. How can students build intercultural communication competency in the English language classroom? How can we prepare our students to thrive when studying abroad? My research and practice centers around preparing our students to be successful participants in an increasingly diverse society.
