Tsuda University joined NAFSA’s annual conference in Washington D.C. (May 27-31, 2019), and we ran a shared booth in the “Study in Japan” section for the first time. We held fruitful talks with our partner institutions, reminding us of the importance of having face-to-face meetings. We also visited number of overseas institution’s booths seeking new partnerships and publicizing the great news that our founder, Umeko Tsuda, will be on the new 5,000 yen bill. We enjoyed meeting a variety of educators from around the world and exchanging information. By engaging in activities such as the NAFSA conference, we will continue making efforts to expand the lines of partner institutions and create an environment where students are encouraged to study abroad.
